About Photostar
Your photos, edited on your device
Photostar is a browser photo editor run by KamranAli Limited. You can use the current tools for free, without an account or a watermark on your exports. Until November 2026 the editor was called Photostr, at photostr.io. Same editor, same team, new name.
Why we keep editing local
A photo might be personal or part of a client's work. Opening it here should not mean sending it to us. Edits happen in your browser, including the current AI tools, which download a model before running.
This means your device does the work. Large files need memory, and some tools take longer on a slower computer. Recent files and autosaves stay in this browser. They do not sync between devices or replace a backup.
Read the privacy policy for details about downloads, usage analytics and editors embedded on other sites.
Keep a copy you can use again
Save a .pxed project to continue editing later. PSD export can keep supported text, shapes and layers editable, but some fonts and effects may look different in another editor. Keep your originals and check the PSD guide before sharing a file.
For the tools available today, visit the homepage or follow the first-edit guide.
